Bartok came from a large group of donkeys who were used for roping. Bartok came to us from the kill buyer intact and missing part of one ear and the other one broken. Bartok could not be touched and rightfully so, was horrified of people. It took some time to earn his trust but quickly became sanctuary favorite. We almost lost Bartok after his castration due to a reaction to the anesthesia, but with the help of our amazing veterinarian he will spend his life with us.
