Harmony and Fluttershy

Harmony was rescued from a local kill lot. She was supposedly sound, broke to ride and exposed to a draft stud. When we picked her up she was extremely emaciated and was so lame on all four legs that she could barely move. She was in pretty rough shape and was showing signs of shingles. To our surprise a month later she gave birth to Fluttershy. We honestly didn't think it was possible. It was a rough birth but after a couple emergency vet visits, they are both going strong. Harmony now spends her days hanging out in the pasture during the day and coming in for grain at night. At almost 30 years old, she will likely live her life here at the sanctuary.
